Grilled chicken, beef, bell peppers, and corn are all excellent summertime dishes, but you may be missing out on the real star of the meal – pineapple! Grilled Pineapple Two Ways

Our perfect pineapples are delicious no matter the flavorings and spices added on the grill. So, should you make a sweet or savory pineapple dish for your next cookout? We say, why not both! Here are two scrumptious grilled pineapple recipes for you to try this National Grilling Month.

Savory: Chile Lime Grilled Pineapple

This recipe is a combination of our sweet and tart pineapple with tangy lime juice and a hint of spice. It’ll add an extra layer of flavor and kick to your home cooked meal!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Set grill to medium heat and coat with cooking spray
  2. Squeeze the juice from the lime, making sure to remove any seeds
  3. In a bowl, stir together the lime juice, chile powder, honey, and salt
  4. Brush the mixture onto pineapple spears and place on the heated grill
  5. Grill pineapple for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through
  6. Brush any remaining spice and lime mixture onto the pineapple
  7. Serve as a side or main dish and enjoy!

Sweet: Caramelized Grilled Pineapple

This pineapple recipe is the perfect sweet treat to have at the end of a summertime meal. It combines our tangy pineapple with sweet and spicy cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter. Serve it warm with a cold scoop of ice cream if you want an extra sweet kick!

Ingredients:

  • Chestnut Hill Farms Perfect Pineapple, sliced into spears or the shape of your choice
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Set grill to medium heat and coat with cooking spray
  2. In a bowl, stir melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon together
  3. Dip each pineapple spear into the mixture to coat and place on the heated grill
  4. Grill pineapple spears for 8-10 minutes or until caramelized, flipping halfway through
  5. Brush any remaining butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon mixture onto the pineapple
  6. Serve alone or a la mode and enjoy!
