The Perfect Pineapple Production Report Week 5

· The sun kept shining and the dry weather continued but we had some very cold nights:

· Only 2 mm (0.08 inches) of precipitation were recorded, but

· Minimum night temperatures dropped to 19.6°C ( 67.2°F)

· These low minimum temperatures may have stressed plants and caused an NDF event

· Harvest age is being kept at same level.

· Quality is outstanding and volumes are normal

· Weather forecast is that “El Niño” phase will last through March and may even extend to May
