We all have seen the beautifully sliced pineapple rings at the supermarket, nicely shaped into round rings ready for those delicious summer recipes or simply a sweet juicy snack. Well, what if you could achieve the same look at home? All you need is a Chestnut Hill Pineapple and your new favorite gadget, the pineapple corer!

Finally! A tool that will make pineapple cutting easier…but wait, how do we use it?

Before getting into the how-to, invest in a pineapple corer that will be easy to use. It is one of the best gadgets you will have in your kitchen – especially if you’re a big fan of pineapple. Known for their excellent source of vitamin C and manganese, there is nothing better than a fresh-cut slice of pineapple. To get the most use out of your Chestnut Hill Farms pineapple, you need to cut off the fruit’s spikey, tough outer layer. There are many ways to de-skin a pineapple, but not with a pineapple corer; the process is quick, simple, and fun!

So, grab your sweet tropical fruit and follow along as we show you how to use a pineapple corer.

Cut Off the Top of the Pineapple

To use the corer, cut off the top of the pineapple.

Place Over the Center of the Pineapple.

Press down to help the corer get a grip, then twist the handle of the corer and allow it to spiral through the fruit.

Pull the Whole Corer Out.

Finally, once you get near the bottom, simply pull the whole pineapple corer out.

Ready to Enjoy!

A delicious, juicy, refreshing pineapple.

Helpful Hack!

You can unwind the fruit from the corer if you want to keep its shape and cut the side of the pineapple to get those pretty pineapple rings.

Easy, right?! Within seconds, you go from having a whole to a perfectly cut pineapple. No more store-bought or canned! Fresh pineapple is the best way to enjoy this tropical fruit, and with a handy gadget, you will want to make more savory pineapple dishes in the future.

Wondering what to do with the leftover shell? The skin of the pineapple is perfect for impressive pineapple cups for your next topical cocktail party or can be used as a beautifully decorated fruit bowl. It is also a great way to show off your ultimate pineapple #BowlGoals.

A pineapple corer is a great kitchen tool to have in your cookware collection. Enjoy!
