2015: Week 04 at the Source (Week 06 in the market)

January is almost ending – and we couldn’t be happier. Although sunshine-filled mornings are beginning to show signs of better weather conditions, rain and a drop in temperatures continues through the month’s remaining days. And snow won’t be falling anytime soon in Costa Rica, but ripple effects from the epic winter storm in parts of the U.S.’s Northeast region will surely be felt this upcoming week.

How does this effect fruit quality and sampling? Well, so far, so good. Talk about consistency! Not only has aroma and flavoring remained at a target Perfect Pineapple™ standard level, but internal flesh firmness continues with an average penetrometer reading 3.3 psi, which is excellent for all our customers, both processors and retailers alike!
