2015: Week 19 at the Source (Week 21 in the market)

El Niño strikes again! What could either be a rare climatic incident (we hope) or an official “Adios” to the end of this year’s (extremely short) dry season was witnessed this week with reverse climatic conditions and more than 5 inches of accumulated rainfall.

Let’s just put it this way: If El Niño was on Twitter, #DamperDays would be trending. The atmospheric phenomenon is also responsible for a whopping 113 percent increase in rain for the Caribbean Region during the first quarter of 2015!

However, weather patterns withstanding, our fruit continues to show very acceptable quality characteristics and we do not anticipate any quality issues with the natural fruit harvest.
