2015: Weeks 46/47 at the Source (Week 48/49 in the market)

November has really been something else. And we mean that in the best way possible! Without much variation between Weeks 46 and 47, the month remains to stay unusually dry. For those that aren’t as familiar with the Caribbean Coast’s regular November climate – it’s actually one of the wettest. So it goes without saying, we are so thankful for the universe’s way of repaying us for endless months of unsuspected rain we had earlier this year!

On average, between the these two weeks, we received only 15,9 mm (0.6 inches) of precipitation, while the average air temperature only varied a half Celsius degree – dropping to a warm 27,2 Celsius degrees (81 F) in Week 47.

Taking advantage of this unseasonably dry, sunny and warm weather, we are continuing advancing land preparation for future plantings and keeping all of our programs up to date with good husbandry practices. The fruit scheduled to be harvested within the next two weeks will cover the expanded Christmas and New Year’s demand and is reported in optimal condition. How optimal?
