2015: Week 20 at the Source (Week 22 in the market)

When we talk about “the rainy season,” Week 20 is the kind of week that we all begrudgingly have to sometimes plan for, both on – and off – the fields. Even for the rainy season, this week’s pattern has been abnormal. Experiencing everything from torrential downpours to extremely dark skies and very low solar radiation, to even water level rises in neighboring rivers, this terrible weather has undoubtedly negatively affected the quality our fruit and normal farm operations.

With such factors putting natural fruit at risk (almost 24%), we had to anticipate and plan for future circumstances by harvesting nearly 70% of the volumes at 22 WAF.
