The Perfect Pineapple Report 2021: Week 41

  • A few intense showers at the start of the week followed by very dry days
    • 34.4 mm (1.5 inches) of precipitation were recorded
  • Air temperatures dropped slightly
    • minimum reached  22,3°C (72,2° F)
    • average was 27.1°C (80,7°F)
    • Soil temperature was 27,3 (81,2°F)
    • Solar radiation ranged from moderate to high
    • Relative humidity was 83,5%.
  • Sugar content is very good but working to reduce the 35% with brix greater than 15.5
  • Harvest age adjustments  are work in progress due to the  excellent climatic conditions and the various micro climates of our different farms
    • 84,2% harvested at  21 WAF
    • 7 % at  20 WAF
    • 9% lagged behind at 22 WAF (basically in one farm – Caribe)
    • Natural fruit was negligible
  • External color on target with 94% within the range  of 0.5 to 1.5
  • A 22% reduction in new Covid cases reported
