Easter Celebrations Start with Pineapple and Ham

Easy Easter Prep with Pineapple Ham

Easter is upon us, and preparations for Sunday celebrations are underway. As you make your grocery list, don’t forget to plan for the classic meal of Easter Ham decorated with sweet pineapple, and impress family and friends with complimentary flavors and colors of spring.

To make your Easter Ham with Pineapple, simply choose your favorite ham and pick up a whole Chestnut Hill Farms pineapple. You may then simply core the pineapple using a core slicer, which easily makes perfectly round pineapple rings, or choose to use a knife to cut your pineapple into circles. The pineapple will stay put on the ham with the use of toothpicks, which you can decorate as you wish.

To bake, cover and put the ham in the over at 325° for 1.5 hours. Optional: Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar and the remaining juice reserved from the pineapple and pour over the ham. Arrange the pineapple on the ham as your wish with toothpicks, and bake uncovered, for 30-45 minutes longer.

From all of us at Chestnut Hill Farms, Happy Easter!
